How A Typical Job Goes
Once contacted a mutual agreed upon time is set up to meet customer for a FREE in home inspection. The attic is checked visually and measured accurately for ventilation and insulation levels. A quote is provided on the spot and discussed in detail.
Upon approval of the quote, a time and date is set that is convenient for the homeowner, including an arrival time and how long the job will take.
Customers are contacted the night before by the owner, for a friendly reminder.
Day of the job the owner of Empire arrives with the insulation truck and 1 employee.
Floors are covered with protective runners.
Ladder is set up at attic hatch, a 3” diameter hose runs from the truck into the home and through the attic hatch, where the fiberglass is then applied with the proper air mixture and procedure to ensure proper coverage.
An insulation certification certificate is placed in a visible spot in the attic, which indicates the new R-value of the attic, with all of Empire blown attic insulators contact information for any future reference.

What is Ice Damming?
An ice dam is an ice build up on the eaves of a sloped roof of a heated building that results from melting snow under a snow pack reaching the eave and freezing there. Freezing of the eave impedes the drainage of meltwater, which adds to the ice dam and causes backup of the meltwater, which may cause water leakage into the roof and consequent damage to the building and its contents such as insulation if the water leaks through the roof.
